Australian Cloud Provider Symbio Expands Into Malaysia
The Sydney-based cloud infrastructure provider and communications software developer Symbio Holdings has launched a local network in Malaysia today. It aims to disrupt incumbent telcos who've typically dominated this market, Symbio says.
The move “nearly doubles our addressable market,” according to company CEO Rene Sugo. “Our existing customers are also (expected) to grow their market with us.”
Sugo said that companies who've signed up for trial services in Malaysia include Dialpad, OpenText, Telnyx and DIDLogic. Symbio is offering nationwide calling with geographic fixed numbers, IP (nomadic) phone numbers and toll-free numbers, call termination, call collection and SIP connect in Malaysia. The company says upcoming releases will also include a self-service portal to enable quick and easy number ordering, and number portability when made available by the local regulator.
